Restoring your Property after Water Damage

At PuroClean, we understand that water damage to your property can be a stressful and overwhelming experience. But we believe knowledge is power. That’s why we’ve developed a series of informative videos to help you understand how we handle water damage restoration jobs and keep you informed every step along the way.

The Process

Bringing your property back to pre-damage condition may include:

Now that you’ve scheduled an appointment, a PuroClean TEAM LEADER will be visiting your property soon to perform a preliminary inspection. While there, they’ll be taking pictures, creating records of the affected parts of the property, and taking moisture readings of materials.

With water, time is our enemy. Prolonged exposure to water leads to additional damage to materials and in many cases, microbial growth. For this reason, our PuroClean team leader will usually recommend some emergency work which we call Stabilization. Stabilization includes water extraction and setting up drying equipment.

  • In order to proceed with stabilization a work authorization must first be signed by the homeowner or property manager.

After your property has been stabilized the next phase of the project may include removal of non-restorable materials such as laminate flooring, drywall, insulation, or other interior finishes that were permanently damaged due to the loss.

Our technicians will be using commercial-sized dehumidifiers and large industrial air movers and other specialty equipment to create optimum drying conditions for your property. This ‘dry out’ stage of the process typically takes 3-5 days. During this process our certified technicians will monitor the drying materials regularly to ensure everything is progressing toward pre-loss moisture levels.
